This FRS ferry (hydrofoil) office is one of the company’s several ticket offices in this windsurfing town at the southernmost point of continental Europe.

It is located on a corner at 16, Avenida Andalucia in the new area of Tarifa.

You will find it efficient and never crowded, and you can purchase tickets for Tangier, Morocco, if you don't want to get them at the FRS ticket counter just inside the Port of Tarifa (Puerto de Tarifa).

I have learned that the staff here will verify that your specific ferry is indeed operating, since occasionally departures are cancelled because of high wind gusts.

Here you may also get your boarding pass with your name printed on it in advance of your scheduled departure and you won’t have to wait in line to get it at the FRS ticket counter in the port.

Although there is free WiFi service on the boats, it does not always connect.

For all travelers to Tangier, Morocco from Tarifa (or to Tanger Med Port from Algeciras), be sure to fill out the white paper entry form and give it, along with your passport to be stamped, to the Moroccan Customs person ON the boat.

It’s best to have your passport stamped immediately after boarding to avoid long lines of people. Your passport MUST be stamped ON the boat.

The various boats all have air-conditioning, comfortable seats with plenty of tables, duty free shop and a cafeteria for light snacks such as chips, sandwiches, croissants and coffee, tea, water or soda.

Credit and debit cards are accepted at this FRS office.

Our ferry got cancelled on March 22 due to bad weather of which we were informed the same day. As we are tourists, we got very nervous due to all hotels and a tour booked for the coming days in Morocco. Anyhow, the very nice lady at the office was very helpful and understanding. She booked us on a ferry from Algeciras (which operate even at worse weather) and explained us how to best get from Tanger Med to town. Even though other customers came in and the phone rang, she remained calm and very friendly. One of the best experiences of customer service when things do not go as expected!

They changed the ticket I bought for June 21 to June 20 via e-mail and immediately sent it as a pdf. When I went to the office, ticketing was done immediately, and the guide of the tour on June 20, 2024 was very good and caring. thanks

We bought a return ticket and were told that it was "open return" and that we can take any ferry back. THAT IS NOT THE CASE, YOU HAVE TO BOOK, PEAK TIME FERRIES BETWEEN 4-8PM SELL OUT!!! We missed a flight and no one from FRS was willing to help us.
All could have been avoided if they had just told us to book the return in good time. Our day trip to Tangier became a nightmare.

Dieses Office ist eines von vielen in Tarifa. Es lag genau neben unserem Hotel und ich musste mich mit einem schwerwiegenden Problem einen Ausflug nach Tanger betreffend an das Office wenden. Die dortige Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und kulant. Sie konnte mein Problem zur vollsten Zufriedenheit lösen - Danke an dort stelle noch einmal dafür!
Ich nahm einem einem Tagesausflug „Tanger cultural“ Teil. Für Afrika Neulinge und etwas vorsichtige Menschen eine tolle Möglichkeit sich vorzuwagen. Mit einem klimatisieren Bus absolvierten wir das Programm wie beschrieben. Unser marokkanische Guide war sehr um eine gute Stimmung und viele Informationen bemüht. Es war ein toller Tagesausflug, gut organisiert und mit sehr vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten aus Tanger.
Abschließend konnten wir zum Souveniersammeln eine Stunde selbstständig den Basar erkunden, bevor wir wieder zur Fähre geleitet wurden.
Leider fahren die Fähren nie ganz pünktlich, das Ein- und Ausreisen von und nach Europa bzw Afrika ist doch recht lästig und die Fähre fährt 60 Minuten.
Ein kleiner Tip noch: die Onlinetickets am Tag vor der Abreise im Office in Tarifa gegen Tickets umtauschen, dann muss man nicht so früh am Hafen sein.
Das Schiff möglichst schnell betreten, denn auf dem Schiff werden die Ein- und Ausreisegenehmigungen bearbeitet. Alle Passagiere müssen dies absolvieren und als bei uns das Schiff nach einer Stunde anlegte, war die Schlange immer noch lang.
